myrtle & sage

So...LA was amazing. One of the highlights was a twilight hike at Runyon Canyon. As the sun set, the tiny buildings and houses and cars began to light up and we could see the city stretch for miles underneath. While I don't see myself leaving NYC any time soon, California does have that Californication appeal.

As we walked the dry brush emitted sweet, herbal smells. I stopped to pick sage leaves, crushing them between my fingers and releasing their scent. There was another bush; I think it was myrtle. I love myrtle, with it's fruity, almost apricot note.

To see more of what we did in LA, check out our instagram.

We ate: Pine and Crane, In-N-Out, Blockheads Shaved Ice, Sweet Rose Creamery, Axe and Sugarfish Sushi.

We shopped: Clare Vivier, Dream Collective, MyrtleBroome Street General, Tradesmen, General Store, Tenoversix, Mohawk General Store, and Tortoise General Store.

We chilled: Runyon Canyon, Point Dume, and Korean karaoke.

Thanks to Jennifer for the photos above.
