Chau is a full-time school high school teacher, and one of the owners and a buyer at Myth + Symbol in Houston, TX. We met last year when she came to the Dobbin Mews studio to scout products for her new shop. She's unbelievably sweet and after I once complimented a beaded necklace, she made me one! Complete with complicated beaded triangles and all. Now when she comes to NYC for buying trips we carve out a little time for non-business - like brunch at Diner.

When did you first start wearing perfume? What fragrance was it?: I would rub on the samples from the magazine ads when I was younger. Elizabeth Arden's Sunflower was probably on my Christmas wishlist, but the first one I bought was in college - Micheal by Micheal Kors.

If you were a plant, what would you be?: Aloe vera

What's in your refrigerator right now?: Peaches, ice cream, tofu, apples, film...
